SHIZHE HE is a Chinese fashion designer based in Beijing, China. Shizhe started studying fine art at the age of 10 and went on to major in Fashion Design at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and the acclaimed Bunka Fashion school in Japan where she developed her pattern cutting skills. She graduated in 2017 with a MFA in Fashion Design and Society at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, worked at Thom Browne following graduation and is now working on her next collection AW19 inBeijing _ Shirts, Suits and Workwear are her focus.

One of Shizhe He's technique is rooted in pattern cutting where Shizhe explore the smallest details and moments she claims are ignored. She observes the most obvious and accustomed things we take for granted and therefore pass over. It is in this space
Shizhe delves and disrupts reproducing these quiet details and moments through cutting and fabric manipulation. Subtle and steady, Shizhe reexamines the relationship between clothes and the wearer; the wearer and the clothes. Shizhe believes that alternative ways of cutting create infinite possibilities. She aims to bring a craftsman's wisdom and discipline to her practice and as a designer achieve a balance of art and function through her garments Her work has been featured in the likes of i-D Magazine, W and WWD and is part of Wavelengh:Reset art exhibit in Shanghai 2018..
